The Blue Devils pulled out a big victory over arch rival (nemesis?) Tarheels last night. It was a big victory because it was against UNC, not because UNC is any good this year. I was really nervous during the game, and felt like there was a lot riding on it. I tend to take it pretty seriously, but this is a bit over the top.
Here is a quote from Roy Williams comparing the current UNC basketball season to the Haiti tragedy:
230,000
So... ACC record of 2-7 = 230,000 lives lost in the Haiti Tragedy"Massage therapist told me, she said, 'You know, coach, what happened in Haiti is a catastrophe. What you're having is a disappointment.' I told her that depends on what chair she was sitting in. Because it does feel like a catastrophe to me, because it is my life."
230,000
(A "fan" wanted to take a pic with the mascot after the Pheiffer game, so he covered up her awful jersey with his cape for the picture. Well played. Even the guys wearing Pheiffer shirts in the background think this is funny. I do love the rivalry, and college basketball, but let's not compare it large scale loss of life in any capacity. Roy, show a little respect and class.)
